Naturgy promotes the training of professionals in natural gas vehicles

The Spanish energy company Naturgy, through its foundation and in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Generalitat and companies such as SEAT and Barcelona Metropolitan Transport (TMB), has promoted the training of teachers of two training cycles in the field of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV), one of the alternatives that currently contribute to improving air quality, since it allows to reduce by 85% the emissions of nitrogen oxides and by 95% of the particles in suspension.

The Deputy General Director of Programs, Training and Innovation of the Department of Education of Catalonia, José Antonio Andrés, and the General Director of the Naturgy Foundation, Martí Solà, met with representatives of companies and vocational training centers participating in a project aimed at update content on new technologies and sustainable fuels in Dual FP.

According to this initiative, a total of 113 students from the La Guineueta Institute and the Virgen de la Merced Institute, in Barcelona, have already been trained in NGV, a modern and efficient technology, which is contributing in a very important to improve air quality in urban environments. In fact, companies such as APPLUS, FCC, TMB and Urbaser have committed to welcome some of the students so they can do the corresponding practices.

Likewise, this training has been extended to another 25 professors from nine centers that teach the Higher Degree Training in Automotive and the Medium Degree Training in Electromechanics of Motor Vehicles, thanks to the collaboration of SEAT and Barcelona Metropolitan Transport.
