August 31, 2010. The first public Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) refueling station, developed in Villafalletto (Cuneo), Italy, is now up and running, opening to the public with great satisfaction of all NGV users and local commuters.
The station, completely built by Vanzetti Engineering, has a capacity of 600 Nm3/h and is set to refuel up to 500 Kg/h.
It is a great achievement, commented at Vanzetti, to had a chance to fully complete the developing process by projecting and directly installing all primary components of this site. This is a perfect case of a all “made in Italy” technology and the company is proud to be seen as pioneers.
Several tests were made during the past months focusing on the refueling process and the whole cryogenic system functioning. Such approach allows them to confirm that all the key points of strengths and solidity of this application are verified. The refueling time, for instance, averages a reduction of 50% versus traditional CNG stations. At Villafalletto they also ensure the complete CNG tank refills and guarantees a better product quality to drivers who are already reporting 10% Km. more compared to conventional CNG.
Vanzetti Engineering is proud to announce to be the first and only Italian company able to design, project and fully implement a refueling station of such a kind nowadays.
LNG supply is today provided by Polargas, affiliated company of Vanzetti Engineering, ensuring an efficient logistics. Being the storage tank punctually and remotely monitored Polargas enables the station cryogenic tank to be refilled in a timely manner.
The same station managing operator is put in condition to monitor electronically all the levels and the refill needs at the site, and place an order based on CNG consumption. |
