Gazprom plans to double CNG stations in Russia

November 29, 2010. Russia's gas giant Gazprom plans to double the number of natural gas filling stations in the country next year by building 200 stations, the company said.

   Gazprom manages 202 vehicle compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations out of Russia's 235. Last year the group sold 297 million cubic meters of CNG, or 90% of all CNG sold in Russia.

   The company said that they have already started cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Kaluga, Tambov, Oryol, Kaliningrad regions and cities of the Moscow region and Nadym.
