Howard Tenens installed its first NGV station in UK

Howard Tenens has installed its first natural gas refueling station. This initiative underpins the Group's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint. The gas refueling station provides the infrastructure for its low carbon transport strategy with the roll-out of dual fuel (diesel and gas) vehicles across its HGV fleet.

This first natural gas refueling station has been installed at its Andover depot, in the United Kingdom, which services many of its food and drink customers; they are delighted with this initiative as it reinforces the commitment to working in partnership to achieve a more sustainable logistics operation.

Howard Tenens is providing access to the refueling station by arrangement so that others can benefit from this innovation. The firm intends to open at least two more gas stations this year.

The UK is currently developing refuelling infrastructure to support low carbon transport. "Once again, we are delighted to be leading the way in terms of sustainable logistics in the UK," says Catherine Crouch, director of Howard Tenens' environmental division.
