Implementing Entity for Conversion to NGV opens regional office in Potosi

July 13, 2012. In order to meet the objectives of the National Development Plan including the Energy Matrix Change, which is carried out by the Government of Bolivia, the Implementing Entity for Natural Gas Vehicles Conversion opens its regional office in the city of Potosi. The act has the presence of the Chief Executive Officer of the Entity, Hernan Vega, also of the main leaders of the transport sector from Potosi, national and regional authorities.

   The new regional office is intended to make free conversions to CNG of public and state fleet.

   This department has two filling stations for natural gas vehicles, one in the city of Potosi and another in the town of Betanzos, which will begin to work in the coming days, and provide CNG to vehicles converted by the Entity.

   For the development of the free CNG conversion, there are two workshops in Potosí certified and approved by the authorities of the area.

   According to the Entity, the use of natural gas for vehicles generates significant savings to the owners of the vehicles and reduces environmental pollution by more than 80%.
