Uber of Brazil facilitates the conversion of cars to CNG

February 7, 2019. Uber of Brazil announced an agreement with the Italian company Landi Renzo to offer the conversion of vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG) as a strategy to reduce the costs of drivers.

The association will offer a special line of financing for drivers who choose to do the transformation with the Landi Renzo system. "This offer also responds to a desire of the drivers themselves to convert their vehicles," the companies said in a statement.

Uber arrived in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup and today has more than 600 thousand drivers operating in approximately 100 cities. Recently, the management of the company in the country was taken over by Claudia Woods, former executive of Banco Original and of Walmart Brasil.
