A conference about Biogas as Vehicle Fuel will be held in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, in March 25, 2010. The utilisation of biogas as vehicle fuel has been sucessfully implemented in several European countries for years. In Germany, the utilisation path vehicle fuel hasn't been established yet.
In the European research project Biogasmax the whole production chain from the generation of biogas up to the utilisation of biomethane in vehicles has been evaluated and successful project examples from Sweden, Switzerland, France and Italy have been demonstrated.
The Biogasmax local conference aims to inform stakeholders who are dealing with the topic biogas as vehicle fuel comprehensively and to give answers amongst others to the following questions:
• What are the political objectives in the European Union?
• What are the legal framework conditions in Germany?
• What are the business models in other countries and who or what are the driving forces for the implemenation of successful projects?
• How sustainable is biogas as vehicle fuel?
Furthermore speakers from the industry will inform about the structure and operation of biogas filling stations as well as vehicle technology of heavy duty vehicles and passengers cars for the use of natural gas or biogas.
