November 15, 2019. The new Caddy Maxi PMR CNG arrives in Spain from Rehatrans company, the first ecological gas vehicle adapted for people with reduced mobility that is already available for sale to individuals and social entities and service companies for PMR – day centers, airports, VTCs, etc. – and also for the taxi sector.
As they say from Rehatrans, this ecological and adapted vehicle is another step in the objective of “guaranteeing inclusive and sustainable mobility for all”. And, according to the latest study of the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in Spain there are about 4 million people who have some type of disability, so “it is essential to continue working in this line to offer solutions in order to make people’s lives easier and at the same time be respectful of the planet.”
The new Caddy Maxi PMR CNG is a novelty in the growing demand of users for having cleaner vehicles, with less emissions and greater autonomy. This model has the ECO label and consists of four CNG tanks that combine hybrid natural gas technology and a gasoline fuel tank, which saves 50% on fuel. In addition, it offers a range of 560 kilometers only with compressed natural gas deposits and 180 kilometers with the gasoline tank, thus reducing by 80% in NO emissions and by 15% in CO2 emissions.
In addition, the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi PMR CNG has five seats available, independent of the space occupied by the wheelchair; its roof is higher (1.45 cm high); and the interior of the cabin is wider, which translates into greater comfort compared to other vehicles in its category.
From Rehatrans they consider that the CNG is “the best alternative of ecological mobility in the cities and we are very proud to have brought the first adapted alternative to the market.”
