July 28, 2026. Starting at noon on July 29, 2026, the ecobonus.mimit.gov.it platform, managed by Invitalia, will reopen, allowing users to apply for subsidies for the purchase of commercial vehicles and conversions to liquefied petroleum gas/compressed natural gas (LPG/CNG). The allocation is €40 million for commercial vehicles and €4 million for conversions.
For commercial vehicles, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in goods transport activities, whether for their own account or for third parties, are eligible for the subsidies. These SMEs must purchase and register new commercial vehicles in categories N1 and N2 in Italy.
Incentives are also available for rental companies that acquire a commercial vehicle for leasing to an SME in the transport sector, with a minimum term of three years. In this case, the rental company is obligated to pass on the corresponding discount to the monthly payments owed by the SME.
The LPG/CNG Conversion Contribution is available to individuals and legal entities (except those engaged in the sale of M1 vehicles) that install new LPG or CNG systems in M1 units with Euro 3 or higher certification.
