Transportes SP finds an efficient long-haul transport alternative in the S-Way NG

After six months of operation in Argentina, the company is already seeing concrete results with its S-Way NG units.

October 2, 2026. Six months ago, Transportes SP added four IVECO S-Way NG units to its fleet; these vehicles are now integral to its regular operations along the Buenos Aires–Rosario–Córdoba corridor in Argentina. Coinciding with Sustainable Mobility Week, Transportes SP’s experience highlights the role alternative technologies can play in transforming freight transport. After six months of operation, the company is already seeing concrete results with its S-Way NG units, demonstrating that moving toward more sustainable mobility can go hand-in-hand with greater operational efficiency.

“We wanted to move forward with a project that would allow us to reduce our carbon footprint and move closer to a more sustainable operation. We also wanted to test an alternative that would enable greater efficiency, and we found a very concrete solution in the S-Way NG. Today, six months later, we are seeing a fuel consumption reduction of between 38% and 40%, which is highly significant for a transport company,” explained Rodolfo Postel, President of Transportes SP.

Beyond efficiency, day-to-day use has also highlighted the vehicle’s qualities for those who spend much of their workday on the road. Postel particularly emphasized the S-Way NG’s soundproofing and cabin comfort—aspects that are crucial for long-haul operations. “It is a large truck that offers excellent comfort and soundproofing. For us, covering so many kilometers on the road, this is something that is clearly noticeable and ultimately makes a difference in daily operations,” he noted.
