April 23, 2022. The integrated logistics company Di Nino Trasporti, based in the Italian municipality of Pratola Peligna, province of L’Aquila, has received 10 Iveco S-Way powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The 10 tractor heads, model AS440S46T/P 2LNG, will be destined for long-distance European routes and are equipped with Iveco Hi-Cruise, Eco-roll and Ecoswitch, state-of-the-art safety systems, such as LDWS, AEBS, Driver Attention Support and Connectivity Box, which makes vehicles 100% connected. They also have hydraulic retarder, automatic climate control with Parking Cooler and Infotainment with browser. The incorporation of the units is part of a broader offer that includes another 10 Iveco S-Way, model AS440S53T/P, for a total of 20 vehicles.

During the delivery ceremony, Fabrizio Buffa, Manager of the Iveco Alternative Propulsion Market in Italy, underlined the importance of natural gas in the sector’s decarbonization process: “Today investing in LNG vehicles means investing in units that, thanks to the use of biomethane, can achieve neutral or even negative CO2 emissions in the WTW (Well to Wheel) cycle. We are happy to be side by side with forward-thinking clients who focus on sustainability like Di Nino Trasporti, and that the creation of carbon neutral transport is a common goal”.
