La Nación newspaper and Banco Galicia awarded the Export Excellence Award to those companies that sell their products from Argentina abroad.
The special mention for exports with high added value went to Aspro. The company is dedicated to the design, development, production, sale of equipment, technical service and spare parts for the processing, storage and transportation of all types of gases. Its products are used in fuel vending stations, oil and gas fields and in other industrial applications. It has 169 employees, is present in 45 countries and has sold more than 5,400 gas compressors in the world. Its exports in 2020 reached USD 12 million.
In 2020, a very difficult year for the world economy, Argentine exports reached USD 54.9 billion. The main destinations were Brazil, China, the United States, Vietnam, Chile and India.
This year, in its tenth edition, 259 companies entered the awards that were divided into six categories: export of knowledge-based services; regional economies; new markets; exports with added value; large exporters and going out into the world. In addition, the jury chose a gold winner and made some special mentions.
