June 25, 2023. The transportation company MB Energy, responsible for moving gasoline and diesel from Buenos Aires to Salta, received a compressed natural gas (CNG) truck developed by Scania. The G410 A6x2 of the Green Efficiency line was the option chosen, and it will be used to carry the fuel used by agriculture from the refineries to the filling stations.

For the approval that would make it possible to carry out this type of operation with cleaner technology, an authorization process was developed in conjunction with Raízen, an integrated energy company, resulting in this Scania vehicle being the first CNG-powered unit authorized for transport Shell fuels.

“Our company is working to generate new, more sustainable ways of working, and Scania was undoubtedly the ideal ally to achieve this goal,” said Cristóbal Muñoz, Managing Partner of MB Energy, adding: “With this technology, in addition to optimizing costs, we are guaranteeing that the emission of polluting gases is minimized”.
