February 11, 2024. In Peru more than 418,000 trucks, buses and vehicles use natural gas. More than 500 did so through the program promoted by Consorcio Camisea.
Today, new transport units powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) are incorporated into the more than 500 vehicles already delivered, as part of the Bono Camisea GNV program. This financing initiative promoted by Consorcio Camisea seeks to benefit the heavy load and public transportation sector.
With this latest delivery, the Kusa Perú company joins the more than 130 companies that have benefited so far from this program, which provides non-refundable financing, ranging between USD 10.000 and USD 15.000, for the acquisition of CNG buses, trucks or tractors.
This is an initiative developed jointly with Cálidda, in charge of the execution and distribution of this benefit, as well as the “Eco Motor GNV”, another interest-free financing program that allows bus and truck owners to change their diesel engines to CNG.
It should be noted that Camisea has other initiatives for the widespread use of natural gas, such as the “Camisea GNV Financing” program in Ica, in association with Contugas, which seeks to promote the consumption of the gaseous fuel through interest-free financing for 3 to 5 years for the purchase of CNG buses in said region.
