Coopercarga implements a line of CNG trucks in port operations

Together with its long-time client and partner, CMA-CGM, it has implemented a line of compressed natural gas powered vehicles in port operations.

February 12, 2023. The year 2023 began with new successful deliveries for the Brazilian transport company Coopercarga. Together with its long-time client and partner, CMA-CGM, it has implemented a line of compressed natural gas (CNG) powered vehicles in port operations.

According to sources from the CMA CGM group, the company has been investing worldwide in reducing the environmental impact of its activities. In this sense, Coopercarga’s CNG trucks allow a potential reduction of up to 16% in CO2 emissions compared to diesel-powered vehicles.

To honor the launch of the operation, the Coopercarga team welcomed the members of CMA-CGM, reinforcing everyone’s commitment to monitoring and loading capacity without changing the operations process.

The National Manager of Port Operations at Coopercarga, Cassiano Fernandes, highlights: “This project promotes green logistics, confirming the importance of reducing the impacts of logistics activities, contributing to the goals related to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) for both organizations, in addition to expanding our portfolio of personalized logistics solutions.”
