October 6, 2026. Thanks to an innovative partnership with GRDF, Monoprix, and Bretagne Mobilité GNV, the Côtes-d’Armor Banque Alimentaire has acquired two green gas-powered vehicles—a first in France that combines economic efficiency with an environmentally responsible approach.
The two pre-owned trucks, formerly part of Monoprix’s delivery fleet, have each covered approximately 100,000 kilometers. “These vehicles are perfectly suited for the collections we carry out every morning at large retail stores,” notes Patrick Demont, President of the Côtes-d’Armor Banque Alimentaire.
The project is the result of long-standing cooperation. “GRDF has been collaborating with the Banque Alimentaire at the national level for eighteen years,” points out Éric Danet, GRDF’s Regional Manager for Côtes-d’Armor.
“With the number of beneficiaries rising—reaching 12,800 people assisted and 700 tons of food redistributed annually in the department—controlling operating costs is crucial,” Demont explains.
By opting for green gas, the Banque Alimentaire ensures greater cost predictability. After an initial year of monitoring actual consumption, a specific supply contract can be formalized with Bretagne Mobilité GNV to hedge against price fluctuations.
