April 24, 2026. The Board of Directors of Gasnam, the Iberian Association for Sustainable Transport, appointed Ana Cano Caro as the organization’s new president. Cano, head of land and sea mobility at Naturgy, succeeds Silvia Sanjoaquín, who has held the position since January 23, 2023.
With a solid track record in the energy sector, Ana Cano Caro stands out for her extensive industry knowledge and experience managing various key subsectors related to energy production and use. These capabilities make her the ideal person to lead Gasnam into this new phase.
“Renewable gases have become one of the main drivers of investment in our country, both for their potential and their capacity to contribute to the decarbonization of transport. At Gasnam, we want to continue promoting their development to move towards a more sustainable model and strengthen energy sovereignty,” the new president stated. The Board of Directors wished to recognize and thank Silvia Sanjoaquín for her work during her term, in which she made a decisive contribution to the growth and positioning of the association, promoting strategic initiatives and reinforcing its role as a benchmark in the field of sustainable mobility.
