Gaz’up by Enerjump and Volvo Trucks validate LNG performance for heavy transport

Gaz’up Bordeaux-Lac station hosted a technical event dedicated to the performance of LNG for road transport.

March 17, 2026. On March 12, 2026, the Gaz’up Bordeaux-Lac station hosted a technical event dedicated to the performance of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for road transport, jointly organized by Gaz’up by Enerjump and Volvo Trucks France – Bordeaux branch.

Transporters and mobility professionals were able to discover and test the Volvo FH Aero LNG during static demonstrations and dynamic tests conducted directly at the station.

The event aimed to compare theoretical data and practical experience on an integrated system that combines vehicle, energy, and infrastructure, tested under real operating conditions by transporters in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Since launching its gas technology in 2018, Volvo Trucks has delivered more than 10,000 gas-powered trucks worldwide, demonstrating the growing adoption of this solution by transport professionals.

With a range of up to 1,000 kilometers on a single tank, Volvo gas trucks are establishing themselves as a particularly suitable solution for regional and long-haul operations. In a context where transport companies are seeking more sustainable alternatives that align with CO2 emissions reduction targets, this technology offers an immediate operational solution without compromising productivity.

Volvo’s gas engine leverages the proven expertise of the D13 engine, adopting its architecture to deliver power, torque, and efficiency comparable to diesel, while significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
