New Holland will introduce the biomethane tractor at Argentine fair

New Holland Agriculture will be present at Agroactiva, the great exhibition of metal-mechanics and agricultural innovations in Argentina, together with one of its most anticipated presentations: the T6.180 Methane Power tractor.

June 1, 2023. New Holland Agriculture, a CNH Industrial brand, will be present at Agroactiva, the great exhibition of metal-mechanics and agricultural innovations in Argentina, together with one of its most anticipated presentations: the T6.180 Methane Power tractor.

This product can use gas from the biodigestion of organic waste, such as animal waste, taking advantage of the environmental liability and transforming it into an asset by generating its own fuel and ceasing to use diesel, which produces a significant reduction in operating costs.

In the case of the T6.180 Methane Power, the particulate matter emission reductions exceed 90% and, in general, achieve a CO2 drop of up to 80% compared to a diesel tractor, maintaining the same performance as a similar conventional one. By using biomethane, the carbon footprint of rural property can be brought to zero.

“We are proud to present this tractor that adds value in sustainable production models. We know that producers have the challenge of producing more and in a sustainable manner. Within this framework, this equipment offers energy and operational efficiency equivalent to that of a conventional tractor, while providing a better cost-benefit ratio for rural producers,” said Tomás Liceda, Commercial Director of New Holland Agriculture for Argentina.

In 2022, the T6 Methane Power was chosen Sustainable Tractor of the Year 2022 during the EIMA International, a world fair that exhibits innovations in agricultural machinery, which took place in Bologna, Italy.
