August 30, 2025. In a context where operational savings and energy efficiency are becoming key differentiators for transport companies, a new refueling station is positioning itself as a pioneer in northern Argentina. EG Rocchia SRL, located on Route 38, Km 733, in Los Gucheas, Chicligasta Department (Tucumán), recently inaugurated a compressed natural gas (CNG) filling system with a high-flow peak, specifically designed for heavy-duty cargo and passenger vehicles.
The initiative, led by the logistics operator La Pichona SRL, stems from a strategic analysis of the market: “Today, transport companies need to reduce costs and optimize times. The ability to refuel in less time and in a key location can be a decisive factor when choosing a station,” the company emphasized. Scania, a key partner of La Pichona SRL, was present at the inauguration with one of its Green Efficiency trucks powered by CNG.
The commitment to incorporating this type of technology represents a concrete opportunity for stations seeking to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market. The presence of high-flow peaks allows for more agile service to CNG-powered trucks and buses, expanding the potential customer base and reinforcing the station’s position as part of a modern transportation ecosystem. Using natural gas as a fuel not only reduces operating costs but also lowers pollutant and noise emissions.
