April 20, 2022. Specializing in fleet management and outsourcing, the Brazilian company Ouro Verde announced that this year it will invest R$ 100 million in the purchase of trucks powered by natural gas and electricity. The first deliveries will be made this month, with eight electric units from JAC Motors, model iEV1200T, and another twenty gas-powered.

The initiative is part of the company’s ESG agenda, with sustainable practices in all business spheres, and reflects market demand, with companies increasingly committed to reducing the carbon footprint of their operations. Ouro Verde operates in different sectors of the economy, such as consumption, retail, agribusiness, sanitation, infrastructure, civil construction, industry, forestry, mining and ports.

Electric models generally have low maintenance costs, since they do not have a gearbox, radiator, exhaust system, belts and injection pump. The CNG version, for its part, generates savings in supply, in addition to prolonging the durability of components, such as the injection system, which is no longer affected by the accumulation of residues in the injection nozzles.

“We are committed to a sustainable business model and we are actively working to raise the level of our operations, contributing to the construction of a more environmentally responsible society”, highlights the President & CEO of Ouro Verde, Cláudio Zattar.
