October 17, 2023. The Paraibana Gas Company (PBGás) promotes the 1st Natural Gas Symposium for engines and heavy vehicles, on October 31, starting at 8:30 a.m., in the Sebrae-PB auditorium, in João Pessoa, where technological and sustainable solutions for this segment will be presented.
The event has the support of large manufacturers and assemblers of global reference in sustainable transport solutions, focusing on the use of engines and heavy vehicles, with the participation of companies such as Iveco, Scania and MWM.
The program also includes a presentation on the financing lines of the Banco do Nordeste and a conference with the laboratory team of the Mechanical Engineering degree at UFPB, with a presentation of techniques for converting diesel engines to use natural gas. PBGás will also present plans for the sector, such as the road corridor for CNG vehicles in the state of Paraíba.
The Marketing and Market Manager of PBGás, Renato Vilarim, reported that the symposium will feature several market experts and universities to discuss the main trends and technologies in the sector. “It is an opportunity to learn about and discuss the reliability, operational productivity and safety of the use of CNG in trucks, trailers and buses,” he explained.
Public passenger and cargo transportation in Brazil is beginning to use natural gas and biomethane as fuels, as an alternative to diesel, when it comes to reducing polluting and carbon emissions into the atmosphere, as is already happening in several countries in Europe and the United States.
With this unprecedented initiative in Paraíba, PBGás reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions, promoting the use of natural gas as a viable and efficient alternative for the light and now heavy vehicle sector. The company seeks to contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions and the improvement of air quality in the state of Paraíba and the preservation of the environment.
