July 7, 2026. The city of Posadas, in the Argentine province of Misiones, has added twenty new urban transport buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). This system guarantees lower energy consumption and reduces noise emissions. The official presentation will take place with a caravan of the new buses from the San José company.
According to company representatives, the buses will be incorporated into routes serving different neighborhoods of the capital city of Misiones in the near future.
It’s worth noting that the use of CNG in buses allows for a reduction in fuel and maintenance costs of up to 50%. Furthermore, it contributes to environmental protection due to its low carbon footprint.
In this way, the public transportation system of Posadas adds more environmentally friendly options. The presentation event also coincides with National Soil Conservation Day.
