August 24, 2022. Iveco delivered 40 Iveco S-Way LNG to the Smet Group, a leading logistics and freight transport company in Italy and Europe. The ceremony, which took place in Turin at the Bio-LNG filling station in Strada Cascinette, confirms a historic collaboration that has led over the years to the creation of a large fleet of brand vehicles, renewed every year with so many supplies.
The vehicles, model AS440S46T/P 2 LNG, are 4×2 tractors, 3,800 mm wheelbase, configured with a 460 CV Cursor 13 engine, AS high-roof cab to optimize habitability inside the unit, HI-TRONIX 12-speed gearbox and rear pneumatic suspension. Specifically, the supply of the 40 Iveco S-Way LNG includes two sections of 20 trucks each and will be used for intermodal transport.
According to Domenico De Rosa, CEO of Smet Group: “Ours is a path that tends to zero emissions through intermodality, which, combined with low-impact vehicles and traction environments, such as biogas, can define finally a new paradigm in transport in terms of sustainability”.
