February 7, 2023. With the objective of representing at the national level the interests of the stakeholders interested in promoting the use of natural gas and other alternative fuels, the Peruvian Association of Natural Gas and Alternative Fuels (APGNCA) was recently established in Lima.
It will be a new platform to share best practices, as well as regulatory and technical exchange that can serve as a common basis to further boost the market, including production, transport in different modes (road, rail and navigation) and efficient use of gas in all economic and social sectors of Peru.
The APGNCA will seek to establish and permanently review the strategic objectives for the development of each type of fuel, based on its availability, competitiveness and efficiency. Also stimulate the development and harmonization at the national level of technical standards for the quality and safety of products for the use of natural gas (CNG and LNG), biomethane and hydrogen (also mixed) in transport and industry.
In addition, it will provide representation before national and international institutions and authorities for the development of working groups on standardization issues. It will also promote communication through participation in relevant activities, such as conferences, workshops, technical committees, working groups, and coordination groups.
