March 10, 2025. TotalEnergies has been awarded the contract to supply 1 TWh of natural gas to Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), Spain. The contract, which has a five-year term and will extend until early 2030, includes, in addition to the supply, the maintenance of the facilities to transform natural gas into compressed natural gas (CNG) for the city’s bus fleet.
TotalEnergies’ bid consolidates the position of both organizations as key players in the commitment to decarbonize Barcelona’s urban transport and, therefore, in promoting sustainable mobility in the city.

This new contract reflects our ambition to lead the energy transition from multi-energy sources, in this case with natural gas as the option chosen by our client TMB.”
