September 21, 2026. Since September 1, 10 new low-emission buses have been operating on the Citéa network in France. The fleet addition comprises six standard buses (with an 80-passenger capacity) and four articulated buses (accommodating 140 passengers).
These are the first Bio-CNG articulated buses acquired by Valence Romans Mobilités. They will primarily serve routes with peak ridership, allowing the network’s capacity to better match passenger needs.
This new acquisition serves a dual purpose: increasing the proportion of low-emission vehicles within the bus network’s operating fleet and replacing existing internal combustion engine vehicles.
Valence Romans Mobilités has invested €4 million to acquire these 10 units.
The energy transition is a top priority for the organization. To this end, Valence Romans Mobilités has committed to eliminating diesel vehicles from its fleet by 2033. Currently, 65% of the fleet consists of low-emission vehicles—a figure set to rise soon with the arrival of 14 electric buses for the Connect line.
This transformation is part of a broader ambition: to provide a public transport network that is increasingly efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly, supporting the shift toward sustainable mobility within the Valence Romans Mobilités region.
