October 29, 2024. Valence Romans Mobilités has just announced that the Intercitéa line of the Citéa bus network, which connects Valence to Romans via Rovaltain and the TGV station, will be equipped with 11 new buses running on Bio-NGV.
This InterCitéa line represents 76 trips per day during school periods. The new InterCitéa Direct represents 13 new trips per day, representing a cumulative offer of 91 trips per day.
During peak hours, the frequency of the Intercitéa lines is one coach every 15 minutes, and Valence Romans Mobilités plans to attract 20% more passengers by 2027.
To improve the quality of service on this line, Valence Romans Mobilités has invested in 11 new coaches running on Bio-NGV. This €4 million investment is based on the Zero Diesel target set for 2030.
The new vehicles also offer a better quality of service as they are now equipped with dynamic passenger information screens, air conditioning, individual lighting, USB ports, as well as WIFI and a counting system.
These coaches are also designed with a PMR accessibility system and can accommodate a wheelchair. Finally, to ensure safety on board and outside the vehicle, they are equipped with 4 interior cameras, a reversing camera and blind spot detectors.
