January 6, 2024. Andreani Logística reinforces its focus on the ESG agenda. To do this, the company began to have part of its fleet powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).

In total, the company, which specializes in serving pharmaceutical companies that manufacture medicines, medical equipment and dermo-cosmetics, has 22 vehicles fueled by CNG.

Of that fleet, 12 units serve the Embu das Artes distribution center, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, and the remaining ten operate in the Rio de Janeiro complex.

“The need to reduce the emission of polluting gases has become a fundamental strategy for the entire pharmaceutical and health chain in general, which implies sustainable actions in 100% of the stages of the process that extends from manufacturing to transportation of the product,” comments Rogério Rocha, Manager of the Andreani subsidiary.

It should be noted that, four months ago, Andreani carried out a vehicle inspection of the fleet with the aim of mapping the environmental impact caused by gaseous fuel.

The vehicle technical inspection report, signed by the Star company, showed that the 22 vehicles presented a 25% reduction in the level of CO2 emissions and, consequently, a reduction in the emission of polluting gases.

“The verification certification is a document that we present to our clients as a way to show the market our position as an environmentally friendly, socially responsible and inclusive company,” explains Rocha.
