July 12, 2024. Miguel Zamudio, Commercial Manager of DFAC DONGFENG, spoke about the launch of an innovative vehicle portfolio that includes advanced natural gas options. The executive highlighted the environmental and economic benefits of these new technologies.
“Natural gas vehicles have virtually zero particulate matter emissions, which represents a significant advantage for the environment,” he said. Furthermore, he highlighted the key economic incentives for buyers: “These vehicles are exempt from VAT and offer additional tax benefits such as income deductions, which makes them very attractive to the sector.”
Regarding fuel savings, DFAC DONGFENG Commercial Manager mentioned that these units can provide up to 40% savings compared to traditional fuels, an important consideration in a context of rising gasoline prices.
“We would be talking about the fact that soon we would have a gallon of close to 14,000 pesos and yes, with natural gas we would also have fuel savings close to 40%,” he assured.
DFAC DONGFENG has also diversified its offering in terms of loading capacities, from small trucks of four tonnes to tractor-trailers of up to seventeen tonnes. “We are the only brand in the market that offers this wide range with natural gas technology,” Zamudio highlighted.
In terms of supporting the transition, DFAC DONGFENG has established strategic alliances with the main gas distributors in the country, offering economic bonuses of between 5 and 20 million pesos to facilitate the adoption of natural gas vehicles.
