Sagepoint acquires 60 Cummins-powered RNG trucks in the United States

This operation marks a paradigm shift for the energy and logistics markets in the country.

April 25, 2026. In a move that signals a paradigm shift for the energy and logistics markets, Sagepoint Energy and its subsidiary, Sagepoint Logistics, announced the acquisition of 60 heavy-duty renewable natural gas (RNG) Freightliner trucks powered by the Cummins X15N™ engine.

By leveraging the synergies between Sagepoint Energy, one of the nation’s leading RNG producers, and Sagepoint Logistics, the Midwest’s premier green fleet, the company controls variables that traditional carriers cannot: core shipping costs, volatile fuel surcharges, and Scope 3 emissions. The fleet will be powered entirely by RNG sourced directly from Sagepoint Energy’s production facilities. This infrastructure enables customers to significantly lower their carbon footprint by utilizing a turnkey, sustainable shipping solution. Sagepoint’s fuel is 100% domestic, creating independence from global oil market volatility. This self-sufficiency allows the company to offer a pricing structure that no other carrier can match—a distinct advantage in the North American market.

“This investment is a pivotal step in our evolution,” said Aaron Johnson, CEO of Sagepoint Energy. “We aren’t just acquiring trucks; we are establishing a new model for doing business in both the energy and heavy-duty trucking markets. By pairing the most advanced engine technology in the world with our own RNG production, Sagepoint is achieving a level of vertical integration that provides our partners with unmatched reliability and environmental stewardship at a low and predictable cost. This is a defining moment for our company and a clear signal to the industry that high-performance logistics and fuel independence are now a reality.”
