June 27, 2026. Under the slogan “Rhine-Main Going Greener,” Verbio and Transgourmet are continuing their collaboration and expanding the availability of Bio-CNG in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan area with a refueling station at Transgourmet’s facilities in Riedstadt, Germany. The station is open 24 hours a day and is available not only to Transgourmet’s fleet of 40 CNG trucks but also to external transport companies and private drivers. The system can be used with standard fuel cards as well as the Verbio card.
The food wholesaler’s fleet will be gradually expanded to significantly reduce CO2 emissions during deliveries to its facilities. In this way, Transgourmet is making steady progress toward climate neutrality by 2050.
At its Hamburg facilities, Transgourmet has been operating a fleet of CNG trucks since 2025, fueled with Bio-CNG from its own refueling station. This change has proven to be a resounding success for the food wholesaler and demonstrates the impressive potential of biomethane for sustainable logistics.
