July 19, 2026. Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) and Gail (India) Limited have officially signed a long-term agreement for the installation of a state-of-the-art liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling station at Container Corporation of India Ltd.’s Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Khodiyar, Ahmedabad. Under this 15-year agreement, Gail (India) Limited will have sole operational control and will invest in the LNG station’s infrastructure. Container Corporation of India Ltd. will provide approximately 3,000 square meters of land within its high-traffic Ahmedabad terminal, along with essential utility connectivity.
To ensure the commercial viability of the green corridor project, Container Corporation of India Ltd. has committed to deploying a dedicated fleet of 15 LNG-powered commercial vehicles starting in the first year of the agreement. The multimodal facility will operate 24 hours a day, offering high-performance and environmentally friendly fuel to its logistics fleet, as well as to commercial vehicles in the open market.
