July 27, 2026. Volkswagen Trucks and Buses (VWCO) has just closed an agreement to acquire 56 Constellation 26.280 biomethane trucks from Loga, a national leader in waste management. Developed for collection operations, this specialized model reinforces the manufacturer’s commitment to offering tailored solutions that combine performance and sustainability. The truck, which has been tested by the customer since the second half of 2025, has been very well received, prompting the acquisition of the new units.
The biomethane Constellation stands out for its larger gas storage capacity in its segment, with 240 cubic meters (960 liters) in carbon steel tanks, combined with a more powerful engine and performance equivalent to that of a diesel. This configuration guarantees a range of up to 300 km, allowing for fewer refueling stops. The model also stands out for its low noise level and its potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%, combining robustness, efficiency, and sustainability in a single solution.

Designed to meet the needs of solid waste collection companies, the model features configurations characteristic of the Compactor professional family. High technology, high performance, and the ability to handle the most demanding operations are combined with the new fuel alternative, thus expanding the brand’s portfolio of sustainable solutions.
