September 20, 2026. Transcur, a company specializing in long-distance beverage transport operations between Buenos Aires, Mendoza, San Juan, Salta, and Tucumán, has added three new Scania compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks and one diesel-powered R550 6×4 unit from the “Super” platform—configured for bitren (road train) setups of up to 75 tons—to its fleet.
These additions reflect Transcur’s commitment to adopting technologies that improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The company currently operates a fleet of 34 trucks, 17 of which are Scania vehicles.
The Super platform, developed to maximize operational efficiency, achieves fuel consumption reductions of up to 15% compared to competitors and 8% compared to the previous Scania generation. Thus, incorporating gas-powered technologies alongside increasingly efficient diesel solutions allows the company to tailor its fleet to the specific characteristics and needs of each operation.
“Transcur shares Scania’s vision of moving toward more sustainable transport by adopting technologies that reduce environmental impact while simultaneously improving operational efficiency. The fact that a long-standing client continues to choose our solutions to grow their business demonstrates the value of building long-term relationships,” concluded Jorge Armando, a Sales Advisor at CVC, an official Scania dealership.
