September 6, 2024. Eurogas, the association representing the gaseous fuels sector, officially announces the election of Andreas Guth as its new Secretary General. He succeeds the outgoing Secretary General, Dr. James Watson.
Andreas Guth will be serving Eurogas as its new Secretary General, following his appointment by the General Assembly on August 29, 2024. He has been leading the policy team of the association over the last five years. Before joining Eurogas, Guth worked for a range of sectors, covering energy, transport, biofuels, agriculture and trade.

The gas sector plays a pivotal role in the energy transition, as it undergoes its own transformation towards a more renewable and low-carbon future. I am excited to work with our members to ensure that Eurogas plays its part in driving this process forward.”
Current Eurogas President Cristian Signoretto, in congratulating Mr. Guth, said: “As President of Eurogas, I address my warmest wishes to Andreas for his appointment as Secretary General. His vast expertise will drive forward Eurogas’ mission in such a strategic moment for the gas sector. With Andreas now taking the helm, I am confident he will continue to build on this strong foundation.”
