March 31, 2026. The municipal bus company Autobuses de Córdoba (Aucorsa) awarded Iveco the contract for the supply of 11 new compressed natural gas (CNG) hybrid buses. This acquisition strengthens the company’s fleet in response to increasing demand for public transportation in the Spanish city.
According to information released after the Board of Directors meeting, these new vehicles will join the 15 new-generation buses added during 2025, ten of which are already in service, with the remainder being integrated gradually.
The new buses include two 18-meter articulated units, with a capacity for more than 120 passengers, and nine 12-meter vehicles, all equipped with regenerative braking systems and advanced safety and driving technologies.
Aucorsa is once again opting for compressed natural gas technology due to its lower environmental impact, as it allows for a reduction of CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to diesel vehicles, in addition to offering greater durability and better performance at high temperatures.
