October 20, 2022. The Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles (EEC-GNV) celebrates 12 years serving Bolivian transportation, after its creation on October 20, 2010 by Supreme Decree No. 0675, as a decentralized public institution under custody of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy.

From the 2010 administration until October 16, 2022, the EEC-GNV converted 204,105 vehicles from the public, private and state transport sectors, carried out maintenance on 178,887 gas units and requalified 185,032 cylinders within the framework of the programs it executes.

“These results reflect the fulfillment of our institutional mission with efficiency, meeting deadlines, with highly qualified personnel and with social commitment to ensure that the public, private and state vehicle fleet has an environmentally friendly fuel and with a lower cost of operation”, highlighted the Executive General Director of the EEC-GNV, Blanca Karina Villacorta Murguía.

The NGV Conversion Program has the objective of increasing the vehicle fleet that uses natural gas, in order to reduce the subsidy from the State for the importation of additives and liquid fuels.
