Bonett builds a third CNG and LNG station in Slovakia

The third high-capacity liquefied and compressed natural gas (LNG and CNG) station began operating in the Brodské border rest area.

October 27, 2023. The third high-capacity liquefied and compressed natural gas (LNG and CNG) station began operating in the Brodské border rest area. Its operator is Slovenský plynárenský priemysel, a.s. (SPP), while the infrastructure provider is Bonett.

The facility, which joins the recently opened filling stations in Trnava and Prešov, is located directly in the Brodská border rest area and is accessible from both directions, from Bratislava and Brno. The fuel will serve as another alternative for trucks and buses.

All three stations opened during this year. An opening ceremony took place in Trnava in February, with the participation of Minister Karel Hirman, and at the end of April the Prešov filling station officially became operational.

“We have international experience in supplying the most advanced technologies and I am very proud that we can now bring our knowledge also to Slovakia. Natural gas is significantly more environmentally friendly than gasoline or diesel, while providing similar operating and performance parameters. If it is also produced from biomethane, it is completely renewable. In this we see the future of freight transport for the next 10 years,” says Václav Holovčák, member of the Board of Directors of the Bonett group.

The station in Brodské is self-service, open 24 hours a day and payment is possible by credit card, as well as with an SPP CNG card. NGV1 terminals can be used for filling.
