Colombian Army receives 25 natural gas FAW Trucks

The Colombian army has incorporated its first Chinese-made trucks of the FAW Trucks 4x2 AGCA1183 type.

August 26, 2021. The Colombian army has incorporated its first Chinese-made trucks of the FAW Trucks 4×2 AGCA1183 type. A total of these 75 vehicles were delivered during the first week of this month of August, thanks to a project carried out by the Ministry of the Interior (and with the support of the Chinese Embassy), valued at approximately 3.5 million dollars.

The trucks will be used in the northwest of the country (Urabá), west (Chocó) and southwest (Caquetá and Putumayo) for the transport of troops, supplies and logistics in the development of anti-terrorist and anti-drug actions.

The FAW 4×2 stand out for their clean technology, 100% natural gas powered, with a capacity of 17 tons, a CNG-ECM engine of 240/1300-1500 horsepower, manual transmission with eight-speed synchronizer forward and with dimensions of 8.5 meters long, plus a height of 2.9 meters and a width of 2.4 meters.
