June 16, 2024. EVA (Energía de Valor Ambiental), a company created by Limagas and Grupo HAM, has inaugurated its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) service station in Peru, located next to the city of Mala, at kilometer 86.5 of the South Pan-American Highway, a highway system that connects almost all the countries of the American continent.

The EVA Mala LNG station is characterized by a new concept called Benito, which is installed and commissioned in less than 24 hours, reducing construction time.

The dispensing point has an 80 cubic meter tank that integrates two dispensers, with a hose each, which allows refueling LNG for heavy vehicles and all types of trucks, since it keeps the liquid sub-cooled and immediately adapts to the optimal temperature of different brands of vehicles.

The Mala LNG station offers 24/365 self-service and is monitored remotely, having advanced security systems to guarantee its correct operation and the rapid resolution of incidents during refueling. In addition, EVA makes available to all its customers the possibility of contacting its technical service 24/7.

EVA is working to promote the use of natural gas vehicles (NGV) from LNG for Peruvian road transport and CNG for passenger cars, light vehicles and trucks, with the expectation of opening, before December 2025, between 10 and 15 filling stations.
