June 11, 2026. Following the commitment of President Rodrigo Paz Pereira and the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Marcelo Blanco Quintanilla, to the transportation sector, the Natural Gas Vehicle Conversion Implementation Entity (EEC-GNV) received the first shipment of over 1,000 CNG cylinders in the city of Santa Cruz. This marks the beginning of a new phase aimed at strengthening vehicle conversion programs and meeting national demand.
