July 25, 2021. There are 7,700,000 Bolivians that the departmental government will allocate to the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Conversion Program in Tarija, Bolivia, which is expected to reactivate the transportation sector. From July 27, the workshops will be enabled to carry out this task, since the goal is to reach 1,000 vehicles by December.

Within this framework, the Directorate of the GNV Program received a new free computer system that will allow it to store all the department’s information on the conversions that will be carried out and the resources that will be generated.

José Navarro Antelo, Director of the NGV Conversion Program, explained that the administrative procedure for hiring the workshops that will carry out the reconversion began, which is why 15 have been confirmed throughout the department. “In the following days we will enter the provinces to deliver the contracts, prior to the technical and legal report, and the backup policies.”

He added that, with the reactivation of the program, it is expected to generate more than 100 direct jobs with the workshops enabled and another 200 jobs through the service stations throughout the department.

According to Navarro, all the workshops are acquiring the kits and cylinders that are required, so that in the next few days the equipment will be delivered and will proceed to follow-up, all with supporting documentation to guarantee quality and trust to the transport and the population.
