February 9, 2021. After receiving one of the first Scania R 410 6×2 gas units in June 2020, Grupo Charrua has just acquired another six units of the model, and will have the first 100% sustainable national company, Charrua Gas, which is part of the conglomerate. The negotiation was carried out by Scania Brasdiesel.

“Receiving new orders from Grupo Charrua and knowing that Charrua Gás would have the first 100% sustainable fleet gave us even more certainty that our solution is ideal for the Brazilian market. The ecological recovery in business will increase in the coming years and the customer will find complete support for the complete Scania solution”, says Silvio Munhoz, Scania’s Sales Director in Brazil.

In addition to the units for this company, Grupo Charrua must buy more vehicles for Transportadora Arco. Delivery of the Charrua Gás models is due to take place in the first quarter of this year, which will serve operations in Rio Grande do Sul.

“It is a great satisfaction to be the first to buy in the South. Natural gas is the future. Today, Charrua Gás is the only company that transports natural gas in Brazil with a truck that is 100% powered by this fuel. With the new six models, we make the operation totally clean”, says Flavio Aluísio Rudiger, Director of Logistics and Transportation of Grupo Charrua.

When deciding to buy the new units, a series of aspects were taken into account, the main one being the results obtained with the R 410 gas model delivered last year, in addition to the sustainability of the vehicle and its operation, as well as the pioneering spirit of Grupo Charrua, always standing out for being attentive to innovations in the transport sector.
