June 17, 2023. Marcotran Logistics, a Spanish company specializing in groupage, distribution and storage, has three new Iveco S-Way trucks that run on liquefied natural gas (LNG). This acquisition reinforces the firm’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in freight transport.

The new Iveco LNG units offer up to 800 kilometers of autonomy and numerous advantages in terms of sustainability and efficiency. By using natural gas as fuel, a significant reduction in CO2 emissions is achieved, as well as a reduction in particulate and nitrogen oxide emissions. This translates into a lower environmental impact and contributes to improving air quality in the areas where it operates, especially in services carried out in urban areas, as will be the case with these trucks.

The operation to which these vehicles equipped with hooks to load waste containers will be used will have a local dimension, including the province of Zaragoza, where they will be in charge of transporting containers from the collection points to the recycling plant.
