May 15, 2025. More than 1,600 cylinders arrived in Cochabamba for the free conversion of vehicles to natural gas and will be distributed throughout the country, according to the NGV Conversion Executing Entity.
“The Executing Entity, in compliance with the goals planned for this year, is receiving the first delivery of more than 1,600 cylinders in the Cochabamba regional office, for the vehicles that are waiting,” reported one of the officials.
The cylinders have different capacities: 40, 60 (in long and short versions), 80, and 100 liters for all types of vehicles, and will be delivered to authorized workshops. “We will gradually allocate them to our other regional offices, which are smaller. The largest warehouse nationwide is in Cochabamba,” he added.
The Natural Gas Vehicle Conversion Executing Entity (EEC-GNV) delivers the conversion kit and the NGV cylinder to the beneficiary, and also covers the cost of the installation service, as part of the financial assistance offered by the State to the Bolivian population.
“Vehicles that are waiting for the cylinders to arrive will be able to go to our various regional offices with their request to convert their vehicles to natural gas. We have scheduled deliveries in Cochabamba, La Paz, and Santa Cruz,” he added.
Furthermore, the maintenance of NGV conversion and cylinder requalification equipment aims to guarantee the safety and operating conditions of the national fleet of vehicles that use natural gas through five-year inspections, according to official data.
