October 27, 2025. Iveco Bus, together with its official dealer Overbus, finalized a new commercial agreement with Transporte San José U.T.E., the company awarded the public tender for the operation of urban transportation services in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina.
The meeting took place at the Italbus S.A. facilities, with the aim of formalizing the alliance between the companies and moving forward with the incorporation of new buses intended to modernize the public transportation system of the capital of Entre Ríos, guaranteeing greater comfort and a reduction in environmental impact.
“The renewal of urban fleets is key to improving the quality of life in cities and moving towards more efficient and sustainable mobility. We are proud to support Paraná in this step, incorporating natural gas-powered buses that reflect our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship,” stated Ricardo Cardozo, President of Iveco Group Argentina. “This delivery represents a milestone for Iveco Bus, as we finalize our first agreement with Transporte San José U.T.E. and begin a strategic alliance that reaffirms our commitment to offering reliable and sustainable solutions to public transport operators,” he added.
With the addition of these vehicles, Paraná takes a key step toward a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable transport system, with products designed to serve people with reduced mobility and intended to minimize the city’s environmental impact.
A total of 77 units will be delivered and will begin operating in the city starting in December of this year.
These natural gas buses are the first to run on CNG in Paraná, marking a milestone in the city’s transportation. These vehicles incorporate state-of-the-art technology that improves passenger comfort and contributes to reducing polluting emissions, reflecting Iveco Bus’s commitment to developing sustainable mobility solutions.
