September 1, 2025. Promotora Ambiental, S.A.B. de C.V. (PASA) reported that it has obtained a 60 million peso loan for the acquisition of new compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks, granted by Sustainable Finance under the Green Credit category.
In this sense, the incorporation of this new fleet of CNG trucks represents a significant step forward in terms of sustainability. The company stated that these vehicles will be deployed to different cities across the country where it operates and will improve the quality of life of the population by reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
According to PASA’s CEO Manuel González Rodríguez, “the company is part of the Clean Transportation Program, and we train operators to achieve lower fuel consumption. For reference, last year the company grew 10%, but fuel consumption was down 5%, and that indicates that the actions we are taking are yielding results.”
He explained that, in the case of Torreón, there is a fleet of 55 units and 570 employees, and the use of alternative fuels is a priority.
“The idea is to continue looking toward cleaner fuels than diesel, such as natural gas, and that would be one of the major initiatives for Torreón, so that our carbon footprint remains smaller,” the executive added.
