August 11, 2024. Founded in 2007, PV GAS CNG has been a pioneer in advancing the green energy transition in Vietnam. Its mission is to contribute to creating a green future, and provide sustainable value to the community and society.
As a vital link in PV GAS’ distribution chain, PV GAS CNG currently leads the market in CNG supply, holding over 70% market share and having a comprehensive infrastructure for transportation and distribution across the country.
With extensive research, exploration, and investment in developing the liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply model, PV GAS CNG has demonstrated its position, potential, and reliability in the “For a Green Future” journey. It is the first company to receive an LNG business license and the first to officially supply LNG to industrial customers in Vietnam.
Thuan Dao station is PV GAS CNG’s first LNG station, with a storage capacity of approximately 100m³. It aims at supplying LNG to existing CNG customers such as Oechsler Motion, Nam Hung Steel, Petfood Evolution, and Asia Steel. In the future, the station will expand its capacity to meet the needs of other industrial customers in Thuan Dao Industrial Park in Long An.
On March 15, 2024, PV GAS CNG transported the first LNG tankers from Thi Vai LNG Terminal to begin commissioning operations of the station. This event marked a significant milestone in PV GAS CNG’s development, continuing PV GAS’ success and completing the LNG infrastructure system in Vietnam—from import terminals, storage facilities to pipeline systems, tankers, and regasification stations—with modern equipment and technology.
The official supply of LNG to industrial customers further reinforced PV GAS CNG’s pioneering role in Vietnam’s energy transition and highlighted its leadership in implementing Vietnam’s national energy security strategies and commitments.
PV GAS CNG supports the government in achieving goals set at the COP26, aiming for net-zero by 2050 and a sustainable future for society.
