October 22, 2019. The National Gas Regulatory Entity (ENARGAS) of the Argentine Republic held a Training Seminar on “New Supply Alternatives through Cryogenic Storage”, addressed to all the provinces that make up the Federal Organization of Producing States of Hydrocarbons (OFEPHI), including its Ministers of Energy and Hydrocarbons and/or provincial officials of those areas.
The opening of the event was in charge of the head of ENARGAS, Mauricio Roitman, who stressed that the agency will continue with this type of activities to disseminate the benefits of these new technologies for storage and use of natural gas in transport.
YPF and Galileo Technologies addressed issues related to the technologies available for gas storage in isolated locations, together with the use of test and/or isolated deposits. In this regard, Osvaldo del Campo, CEO of Galileo, said that the production of LNG from inactive wells is a way to value deposits and is very competitive in economic terms.
They were also Camuzzi Energía and INVAP, as well as the automakers Scania, Iveco and Corven, who agreed that the future for transport in Argentina is natural gas.
